English Camp Fun @ AYDC

Saturday was a fun day here at AYDC. We spent the morning singing, teaching, playing games, and arts & crafts with the kids here. We all had a blast, kids and adults alike. We started the morning with a few songs to get everyone up and moving. Then, like Friday, we broke into four groups. Connie, Elaine, and Ghan's station worked on reading and phonics. The Arts & Crafts station with Michelle, Alyse, and Beverly worked on shrinky dinks keychains, as well as, putting Michelle's  fabulous art skills to work with face painting. Titus, Mark, & Eric put their critical thinking skills to the test with a variety of board games they played with the kids. Lastly, Char, Brittney, Pastor Kim, and myself helped build fine motor skills with weaving lanyard keychains. We ended together with a little more singing and a wrap up. We had lunch with the kids and then had the afternoon to prep & prepare for this next week.

The evening took us into town, where we found a pizza place and visited the night market. Our time at the night market, provided us with a special opportunity to pray over our sister in Christ, a beautiful Akha lady, a friend of Ghan's. It was such a blessing to us to be able to support her business and purchase things from her shop, but more importantly, it was a blessing to us to pray over her.
