English Camp at Pongprae Vuittayakhom - Day 1

We spent two days at Pongprae Vuittayakhom School. Similar to our first English Camp, Luka & Ghan gave a short intro talking about the rescue of the Thai boys and we sang a song from VBS. From there we broke into four stations while the teachers from Pongprae divided the kids into groups. We spent all day there, rotating approximately 140 kids through about one hour rotations. The teachers and kids alike were excited to have us there, just as we were excited to be there too. Our teaching teams remained the same.  Char, along with Brittney, Mark, & Luka taught on health.

Michelle, with Titus, Beverly, & Wan taught on sports/being a team player. They played a couple games and worked on vocab words.

Our Hero rotation was taught by Elaine, with Pastor Kim, Alyse, & Wee. I think this was one of the favorite stations of the day. The kids loved talking about Heroes!!

Our last rotation was the Rescue Equipment, taught by Connie, with Eric, Ghan, & myself. We used vocab words that were specific to the rescue of the boys, like, oxygen tanks and helicopter.

It was a fun day, enjoyed by all.

By the end of the day, we were worn out, adults and kids alike!! This sweet boy fell asleep during our last rotation.
