We've made it to AYDC!! It's been a long journey, from LAX to Seoul to Singapore to Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai to AYDC.
Our travels were largely uneventful, in the best way possible and we've shared a lot of laughs! We arrived to Chiang Mai this morning, made it through customs without a hiccup. Luka and two of his daughters greeted us at the airport with leis made of Jasmin. They smelled, and looked, heavenly. From there we started the drive to AYDC. We stopped for lunch at a local hot spring, with water hot enough to boil eggs. Many of us tried them! This afternoon we worked on getting settled in at the guest house at AYDC. Ghan cooked us a delicious meal of fried chicken, rice, salad, mango, and two varieties of starfruit. After dinner, we met the kids of AYDC and they put on a special performance for us. It was an honor to meet them and watch them perform. Most of us have made it through the last 48 hours with very little to nearly no sleep. While I write this it is nearly 7am in California, for us here, it's almost 9pm. We're winding down for the night. We should sleep well tonight!! Our bodies are tired, but our hearts, our hearts are full.
