On Sunday, June 10, 2018, our team stood before our church family and received their prayers and blessings for our trip. SFCC Board Member Jeff Jones talked about the Parable of the Talents, Matthew 25:14-30. Jeff shared that we are taking our talents into the world, where we will be the hands and face of Christ. We're are heading to AYDC to share our talents with them, to teach them English and share the love of Jesus with them, and likewise, just as we will teach them, they will undoubtedly teach us a thing or two as well. Jeff asked the congregation to commit to praying for us every day, and then to extended their hands towards us as he prayed over us.
What an incredible journey to be on! To be the hands and face of Jesus, to share his love, to walk beside our brothers and sisters in Christ in Thailand and to know that we have the full support and prayers of our brothers and sisters at home California. What an amazing blessing!! God is so good!
